Description |
Detail. Methodist Episcopal General Conference, held at Napanee, August, 1874
Rev. Charles Taylor was born in June, 1824, in England. In 1871, he was stationed in Nottawasaga township.
We know very little about Rev. Taylor. We know that his first wife's name was Martha, and that in 1891, the couple was living in Rama township, Ontario county. We don't know when Martha died, but Rev. Taylor, widower, married his second wife, Elizabeth in the town of Barrie on the 24th May, 1897. In 1901, he and Elizabeth were living in the village of Allandale in Simcoe county.
It may be that this Rev. Taylor is the Charles Taylor who died in Barrie on February 4th, 1905, age 80. If so, he was born in Yorkshire and was a "Doctor of Dentistry and Methodist Minister". |
