Description Detail. Methodist Episcopal General Conference, held at Napanee, August, 1874.

Rev. John C. Pomeroy was born in Ontario, possibly in Newburgh, in about 1837. In 1871, he was stationed in Reach township. (On the 1871 census, his name is spelled "Pomroy".) In 1881, the family was in Kincardine, in Bruce county. In 1891, they were in Waterloo county.

Rev. Pomeroy retired to Toronto. He died at 154 Fulton Avenue on November 11, 1919.
