Detail. Methodist Episcopal General Conference, held at Napanee, August, 1874 This is actually Rev. Thomas W. Pickett, born in Ontario June 30, 1842. (The photographer may have reversed the initials.) Rev. Pickett married Eliza McCay or McCoy in Ottawa in 1869. In 1871, Rev. Thomas Pickett (age 29) was stationed in Ernestown, Lennox and Addington. A daughter, Anne, was born while he was there on July 12, 1871. By June of 1873, the family had moved to Shannonville, where a son, James was born. By the census of 1881, Rev. Thomas W. [sic] Pickett (age 39) was back in Ottawa-Carleton. Rev. Pickett and his wife retired to the west end of Toronto. The composite photograph is damaged in the area of this portrait.
