Description Procession on Ottawa Street, Tamworth, postmarked 1916. The first Orange Lodge in Canada was constituted in Brockville, Ontario in 1830. The Order became very popular in the rural communities. Parades are an integral part of Orange Lodge life. In particular, they are held on July 12th, the anniversary of the Battle of the Boyne.
