I have been requested to call a meeting for those who are interested
in the history of the province and more especially those who are interested in the
history of Lennox and Addington.
...All those fond of history should attend the meeting held at the Library
Building Thursday May 9, 1907 7:30 pm.
Clarance Warner
Clarance M. Warner was the founding President of the Lennox and Addington
Historical Society. He served in that position from 1907 to 1916, at which
time he was appointed Curator of Canadian History and Literature at Harvard
University in Boston.

Its objects shall be to engage in the collection preservation, exhibition
and publication of materials for the study of history, especially the history
of the County of Lennox and Addington, to this end studying the archaeology
of the County, acquiring documents and manuscripts, obtaining narratives and records
of pioneers, conducting a library of historical reference, maintaining a gallery
of historical portraiture, publishing and otherwise diffusing information relative to the
history of the County and of the Dominion, and developing within this County the
study of history.
